Dave + Kayla | Banff Elopement Photographer

I first met Kayla and Dave at Lucy and Jesse’s wedding. They were a party of the wedding party, and had such a cool, laid back energy. So when they asked me to photograph their upcoming wedding I was so excited for the opportunity to connect with them again. As plans evolved, they realized that they were better suited to an intimate elopement than to an elaborate celebration. In August we hiked out to Two Jack Lake for some family and friends photos, and in January we returned to the same spot for their small, cold, stunning ceremony. So this post is a bit of a double header. Dave and Kayla are proof that you don’t need to put any pressure on yourself to fit into a wedding style that isn’t your own. Where there is love there is life, and these two exhibit a beautiful love that I know will translate into a beautiful life together.
