A First

It's true that you always remember your firsts.  Your first kiss, your first love, your first big heartbreak.  I feel that way about my work.  I remember my first shoot, my first wedding inquiry, the first time I looked at a completed session and thought "maybe I can really do this".  Karis was my first grad.  And I'll always remember it.  The way her pale blue dress caught the light, the way her eyes lit up when I showed her sample shots off the back of my camera, the way she moved with such elegance and grace.  Thank you for having me, Karis.  As you step into your limitless future I wish you enough struggle to keep you strong, enough love to keep you soft, and enough courage to keep you bold.  Congratulations on graduating one phase of life and stepping in to another.
